THANE: After weeks of escalating tensions between BJP and Shiv Sena in the Kalyan LS constituency over poaching of each other’s activists, Maharashtra BJP chief Ravindra Chavan shared stage with Dy CM Eknath Shinde and Kalyan MP Shrikant Shinde at the bhoomipujan of a Rs 180-crore multi-purpose sports complex, war memorial and several other projects in Dombivli.Their coming together signalled a possible pause in the ongoing conflict ahead of local body polls, where Sena has accused Chavan of poaching its workers. Chavan had also said accusations during elections were natural but stressed that BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP had been functioning well together for the past year. — Pradeep Gupta
