GUWAHATI: A four-day-old baby girl undergoing phototherapy at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital’s neonatal ICU died Monday. The incident happened after the girl fell off a steel cot and got entangled in equipment cables while a nurse on duty was preparing milk nearby for the infants in the ward, officials said, reports Kangkan Kalita.The state-run medical college set up a three-member inquiry committee to fix responsibility for what chief superintendent and principal Achyut Ch Baishya termed “an accident”.
