Parliament Monsoon Session Day 10 Live Updates: Protests by opposition over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar continued on the 10th day of the monsoon session. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned within minutes of starting amid the protests.
The members of the Opposition have written a joint letter to the Lok Sabha speaker asking to schedule a special discussion on the ongoing voter roll revision. In a letter, undersigned by several Members of Parliament, the Opposition wrote, “While the Government has stated its willingness to discuss all issues, including this one, no date has yet been fixed for such a discussion.”
