NIA DSP killed in UP accident

BAREILLY: NIA deputy superintendent of police Ishan Mehra, 32, was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a container truck on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway in UP’s Moradabad district, police said Sunday, reports Krishna Chaudhary.Mehra, a resident of Mohali in Punjab, was posted at the NIA’s Delhi office, a senior police officer familiar with the case told TOI. He was travelling to Bajpur in Uttarakhand with his friend when the accident occurred around 11.30 pm Friday in Katghar police station limit.According to police, Mehra was riding a high-performance superbike when it rammed into the rear of a container truck. The collision was so severe that the vehicle was fully mangled.
